Las Palmas and Caldera de Bandama Day Trip

Delve into the rich history and powerful nature of Gran Canaria by visiting the Old Town of Las Palmas, the Botanical Garden and the incomparable Caldera de Bandama.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, pickup will be arranged from the meeting point in the south of Gran Canaria that you select. We will head north towards Las Palmas to begin our guided walking tour of Vegueta, the historic center of the island's capital.

This area accommodates the city’s oldest buildings, including Casa de Colón. The tour includes a stroll through the main square and a visit to the Cathedral of Santa Ana. Additional sites include the Gabinete Literario, and the Pérez-Galdós Theatre.

The walking tour lasts around 20 minutes, followed by 40 minutes of free time. Next, we will travel by coach to the Caldera de Bandama for a brief 15-minute photo stop. The crater measures 1,000 meters wide and 200 meters deep.

Afterwards, we'll head to the Viera y Clavijo Botanical Gardens for a 45-minute visit, famous for its species from the Macaronesian ecosystem. Finally, we return to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for lunch, with optional visits to Poema del Mar aquarium, Las Canteras Beach, Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, and Las Arenas Shopping Centre. Participants can choose to end the tour in Las Palmas or return to the starting point.

Pickup services are not included for those staying in Las Palmas. Pickup is available for these tourist zones in the south: Maspalomas, Agaete, Agüimes, Arguineguín, Bahía Feliz, Meloneras, Mogán, Playa del Inglés, Puerto de Mogán, Puerto Rico, Santa Brígida, Tejeda, and Veneguera.

Hotel pickup is only for those staying in the list of hotels provided during booking. If your hotel is outside this area, please meet at 9:10 am at Hotel Parque Tropical in Maspalomas.
