Blue Crater Day Trip

Enjoy a day in nature with our day trip to the Blue Crater. Sail along the Pasión River and Arroyo Pucté, exploring a unique environment in Guatemala.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up at your hotel for a 1-hour and 45-minute journey to Sayaxche. A stop will be made to collect a picnic-style lunch.

Upon arrival, we will head to the shores of the Pasión River, a tributary of the Usumacinta. Here, we'll board a speedboat for a ride lasting 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.

During the trip, enjoy the sounds of water and bird songs from herons, kingfishers, and green parrots, while sailing along Arroyo Pucté, adorned with vines and aerial roots.

We will then reach the Blue Crater, located in the Maya Biosphere Reserve. You will have 3 hours of free time to eat, swim, and snorkel with the equipment provided. The Blue Crater has a depth of 16 to 22 ft (5-7 m), featuring an underwater garden.

After enjoying nature, we will return to Sayaxche by speedboat and then travel back by bus. The total duration of the tour is 8.5 hours.
