Discover the natural beauty of Patagonia with this trip to Tronador (Thundering) Volcano, known for the sounds produced by ice breaks in the glaciers.
Description
The tour departs from Bariloche, traveling south along the Gutierrez and Mascardi lakes. The route offers views of La Pampa, characterized by its lakes, rivers, and the Andes mountains.
We continue along the eastern shore of Mascardi Lake to a diversion leading into the Andes. This includes crossing a bridge over the Manso River and following the eastern branch of Mascardi Lake. A visit to the Piuke island viewpoint will provide views of its distinct heart-shaped form.
The journey proceeds through Los Vuriloches Valley to Pampa Linda, where there will be a stop for lunch. After lunch, we will head to the foot of the Tronador Volcano to view the Ventisquero Negro glacier or Lago Manso, observing the impressive ice floes falling from the volcano.
After enjoying the nearby waterfalls, we will return to Bariloche, completing a total duration of 9 hours.
