Coleta Cooking Class
After meeting in the Al Grano cafeteria, we'll learn about the cuisine of this Mexican municipality from an expert chef. We'll explore a culinary tradition that merges pre-Hispanic and Spanish influences. Participants will understand how to utilize ingredients from ancient Mayan, colonial and contemporary dishes. Dishes to be prepared include bread soup, tacos coletos, chalupas, chanfaina, and banana cake.
At the end of the class, we will taste the dishes prepared.
