Learn the secrets of coleta cuisine, which combines pre-Hispanic and Spanish gastronomy. With this cooking class, you'll become an expert chef in this variation of Mexican gastronomy.
Coleta Cooking Class
After meeting in the Al Grano cafeteria, we'll explore the cuisine of this Mexican municipality with the guidance of an expert chef. We will focus on how the cuisine merges two gastronomic cultures: pre-Hispanic and Spanish.
We will learn to use ingredients from ancient Mayan, colonial, and contemporary dishes. Dishes we will prepare include bread soup, tacos coletos, chalupas, chanfaina, and banana cake.
At the end of the cooking class, we will taste the dishes we have prepared.
