Cueva del Indio + Páramo Tour

The region of Santander offers rich tradition and nature. The tour includes a visit to the Cueva del Indio, where participants will explore the cave, encounter bats, and enjoy a natural pool.

Description

After hotel pickup, we will depart from Barichara and travel through the countryside of Santander for 3.5 hours to reach Cueva del Indio. Participants will descend 80 meters (262 feet) into the cave where they will explore the first room, welcomed by non-biting bats. The exploration continues through rock formations, leading to a chamber with warm water at our feet.

During the cave exploration, stalagmites and stalactites will be observed. Participants will navigate through tunnels and rocky passages. A highlight includes arriving at the natural pools, where adventurers can jump 10 meters (32 feet) into fresh water.

After leaving the cave, we will return to the motorway, making a stop at Páramo to explore the town, known for its exotic landscapes and colonial estates.

Pickup

Pickup will be from your accommodation in either San Gil or Barichara, with a 30-minute delay for those in Barichara compared to San Gil.
