Chianti Wine Tour

On our Chianti Wine Tour from San Gimignano, we'll see vineyard landscapes, taste regional wines, and visit villages in the Chianti Valley.

Tour Details

After picking you up at Piazzale Montemaggio at the scheduled time, we'll board a minibus and depart to explore the Chianti Valley.

Our first stop will be Castellina in Chianti, where you'll have free time to explore this hilltop town, including its churches and La Rocca castle.

Next, we will visit a winery for a guided tour of its facilities and vineyards, where we will learn about the stages involved in making Chianti wine, including the grapes Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Following the tour, we will enjoy a tasting of Chianti wine paired with a selection of Italian cured meats.

We will then proceed to a second winery, where we will taste different varieties of Chianti Valley wine along with appetizers. Additionally, we will taste olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Before returning to San Gimignano, we'll stop in Monteriggioni, a medieval village. After six hours of sightseeing, we will drop you off at the meeting point in San Gimignano.
