Want to bask in the beauty of Tuscany? On this private tour of San Gimignano, you'll explore the history and main monuments of this medieval town declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

San Gimignano Private Tour

At the time of your choice, you'll meet your guide at Porta San Giovanni, an important entry point in the walls surrounding San Gimignano. We'll admire this 13th-century monument before setting off on a private tour through the historic center of this Tuscan town.

First, we'll head to the Piazza della Cisterna, the heart of San Gimignano and the main commercial axis of the town. From this point, you'll see the tower-houses that symbolized the power of the wealthiest families. Your guide will share stories of the notable sagas that occurred in this area.

The tour will take you to the exterior of the Palazzo Comunale, which has a connection to the poet Dante Alighieri. Then, we will admire the facade of the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, flanked by Torre Grossa, the highest tower in San Gimignano.

Next, we'll stroll through the cobblestone streets, passing the Church of Sant'Agostino and various craft stores, until we reach Rocca Montestaffoli, a 14th-century fortress. Here, you'll visit the Vernaccia wine museum to learn about the San Gimignano Appellation of Origin.

After 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the private tour by returning to the starting point.
