We'll pick you up from your hotel in San José and head to the province of Cartago, where we can find the Irazu Volcano. Along the route, we'll admire local flora and fauna.

At 3,432 meters high (11,259 feet), the Irazu Volcano is the most active volcano in Costa Rica. We'll explore one of its craters and view a green lake. You'll also see views of both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

Next, we'll visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels in Cartago before proceeding to the Lankester Gardens, featuring over 800 species of orchids and plants.

A traditional Costa Rican meal will be provided consisting of rice, beans, salad, and a choice of meat (chicken, fish, or pork), dessert, and a drink.

We will continue towards the Orosi and Ujarrás Valley, rich in history and surrounded by mountains and agricultural farms. This area has historical significance, having been a settlement during the colonial era.

After a 11.5-hour tour, we'll return you to your hotels in San José.

Irazu Volcano Visit

For a shorter option, you can choose to visit only the Irazu Volcano. This 6-hour tour focuses solely on the volcano and its landscapes, returning directly to San José afterwards.
