Pickup from your hotel in San José is at 6:30 am as we travel via the Pan-American Highway to Poas Volcano National Park.

On the way, we'll pass through Alajuela, taking a panoramic route that includes views of the Monument to Agriculture, the Monument to San Juan Santamaría, and Mango Park.

Enjoy a traditional breakfast featuring gallo pinto with egg, cheese, ripe plantain, yucca chorriada, tortilla aliñada, and gallos with meat, cheese, and picadillo.

After breakfast, we will explore one of Costa Rica's natural areas, walking through coffee plantations and farms filled with ferns and flowers. As we ascend the volcano, you will notice a change in temperature. At the viewpoint, you will see the impressive mile-wide crater.

The trip concludes with a return to the minibus and drop-off at your hotel in San José by 1 pm.
