Your adventure begins with a 6:30 am pickup from your accommodation in San José. From there, we will embark on the scenic Pan-American Highway leading to the Poás Volcano National Park.

As we approach this natural gem, we will pass through the city of Alajuela, taking a brief panoramic tour that includes sights like the Monument to Agriculture, the Monument to San Juan Santamaría, and the well-known Mango Park.

We will then enjoy a hearty breakfast, featuring a classic dish of gallo pinto with eggs, cheese, ripe plantain, yucca chorriada, tortilla aliñada, and gallos filled with meat, cheese, and picadillo—a true local delicacy!

Continuing our journey, we will leave the city behind and delve into one of Costa Rica's most breathtaking natural reserves. Before reaching the volcano's crater, we will stroll through expansive coffee fields and farms adorned with ferns, vibrant flowers, strawberries, and more!

As we ascend the volcano's slopes, you will begin to feel the temperature shift. Upon reaching the viewpoint, prepare to be amazed by the magnificent mile-wide crater that lies before you.

At the conclusion of our exploration, we will return to the minibus and drop you off at your hotel in San José by 1 pm.
