Pickup will be from your hotel in San José at 6:30 am. The drive will take you on the Pan-American Highway to the Poas Volcano National Park.

Before entering the park, you will pass through Alajuela, with a panoramic route to view the Monument to Agriculture, the Monument to San Juan Santamaría, and Mango Park.

A breakfast will be served, featuring a traditional meal including gallo pinto with egg, cheese and ripe plantain, yucca chorriada, tortilla aliñada, and gallos with meat, cheese, and picadillo.

Next, discover the extensive coffee plantations and farms before heading to the crater. The temperature will change as you ascend the volcano, where you will reach a viewpoint offering views of the impressive mile-wide crater.

The tour will conclude with a return to the minibus, dropping you off at your hotel in San José by 1 pm.
