- 8 - 10 Stunden
- 4/10 | 3 Bewertungen
On this excursion, we'll visit the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos and explore both national parks.
Description
In Costa Rica, visiting a volcano is essential. The country features significant craters and stunning landscapes. The tour begins with hotel pickup at the scheduled time, followed by a trip to the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos.
We will first visit the Irazú Volcano National Park in Cartago. During a hike around the crater, participants will learn that it is one of the highest volcanos in Costa Rica. Irazú has five craters and low vegetation that complements the mountainous region. A hike to the top may offer views of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, weather permitting.
After hiking, there will be one hour of free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Following lunch, we will continue to the Turrialba Volcano National Park, an active volcano. While we will not ascend to the top of its crater, there will be a walk around its circumference where participants can observe the volcanic terrain and, conditions permitting, waterfalls in the surrounding forest.
The tour lasts approximately 8 to 10 hours, concluding with hotel drop-off.
