Turrialba + Irazú Volcanos Excursion

On this excursion, we'll visit the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos and take a stroll around both national parks.

Description

In Costa Rica, visiting at least one volcano is essential. The country features impressive craters and striking landscapes. We'll pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time for a trip to the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos.

We'll begin at the Irazú Volcano National Park in Cartago. Our hike around the outskirts of the main crater will last over an hour. Irazú is one of the highest volcanos in Costa Rica, featuring five craters and surrounded by low vegetation that harmonizes with the mountainous environment. We will climb to the top, where clear weather may provide views of both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

After the hike, you will have one hour of free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Following lunch, we'll proceed to the Turrialba Volcano National Park, known for its volcanic activity. While we won't ascend to the crater, we will walk around the outskirts, where, weather permitting, we may observe various waterfalls within the forests.

The tour will conclude after approximately 8 to 10 hours, with drop-off back at your hotel.
