Turrialba + Irazú Volcanos Excursion

On this excursion, we'll visit the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos and take a stroll around both national parks.

Description

Visiting a volcano is a must in Costa Rica. We'll pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and take you to the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos. Our first stop will be the Irazú Volcano National Park in Cartago. We'll hike around the outskirts of the imposing crater, as it is one of the highest volcanos in Costa Rica. Irazú has 5 craters and is surrounded by low vegetation. We’ll climb to the top, and if the day is clear, you can see views of both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

After the hike, you'll have an hour of free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Following lunch, we'll head towards the Turrialba Volcano National Park, known for being one of the most active volcanos in the country. We will not go to the top of its crater but will walk around the outskirts, where, if weather allows, you’ll see various waterfalls formed in its forests. The contrasting landscapes will be noteworthy.

Finally, after around 8 to 10 hours, we will return to your hotel to conclude the tour.
