Explore the rainforest of Puerto Rico and immerse yourself in its stunning bays on this journey through El Yunque Forest combined with a visit to bioluminescent bays. Experience the wonders of nature with an exciting kayak adventure included!

Tour Overview

Your journey begins with a pickup at your selected location, after which we will travel north, passing through four charming villages, before making a stop in Luquillo to sample local fruits.

Next, we will arrive at the acclaimed El Yunque Forest, referred to as the "natural wonder of Puerto Rico." As we walk along the designated trails, you'll encounter a variety of wildlife and exotic vegetation, culminating in a visit to stunning waterfalls where you can take a dip in the natural pools or even leap from the surrounding rocks! Fresh fruit will also be provided for your enjoyment.

Afterward, we'll enjoy a meal at a local eatery, allowing you 30 minutes to savor your food at your own pace. Then, we will continue to our next exciting location, the bioluminescent bays.

Upon arrival at Fajardo Bay, you will board a kayak as twilight descends. Prepare to be dazzled by a natural phenomenon as we paddle toward the Red Mangrove Forest, where the dinoflagellates—tiny microorganisms—illuminate the water.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to witness the sunset at Laguna Grande, as the shimmering lights dance on the surface, with fish glowing from beneath the water!

Finally, we will return to San Juan, with an expected arrival back at the meeting point by 9:30 pm.

Activity Requirements

This excursion is classified as moderately challenging. It is essential that participants are in good physical condition to join. Individuals with neck or back issues, recent surgeries, pregnancy, epilepsy, or heart conditions are advised not to participate.

Note that there is a weight limit of 238 lbs (17 stones / 108 kg) per person and a combined kayak limit of 423 lbs (30.2 stones / 192 kg).
