The tour begins at the main door of the Monastery, in front of the town hall.

We will spend 2 hours exploring this 16th-century building. You will learn why Philip II chose this location at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama as we visit the basilica, Battle Room, pantheon, palatial rooms, and other essential parts of the monument.

Additionally, the tour includes a visit to the library of the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, which houses volumes collected by Philip II, initiated by his father, Emperor Charles V, to enhance his humanistic knowledge.

The guided tour will conclude at the entrance after exploring the mysteries of this grill-shaped monastery.

In case of a mass, the guide will provide explanations outside the basilica. You can enter and explore the interior after the Eucharist concludes.
