Hiking in San Lorenzo
When making your booking, you'll be able to opt for a 3 or 7-hour route. In both cases, we'll meet up at your chosen time on Calle Juan Carlos Dávalos.
3-Hour Route
The tour begins with a walk through the colonial town of San Lorenzo towards its outskirts, where we'll find the ravine of the same name. We will continue along the trails beside the San Lorenzo River, heading up slopes to various viewpoints. These spots offer panoramic views of Salta, only a few miles away.
Exploration includes the yungas of San Lorenzo, featuring endemic trees such as cockspur coral trees, walnut trees, myrtles and alders. The highest point reached will be 5,900 feet (1,800 metres) above sea level, providing views of the Lerma Valley to the south and the Andean foothills to the north and west.
The tour concludes with a return path to the starting point after 3 hours. Schedule: every day at 10 am and 3 pm.
7-Hour Route
This option features a high-difficulty route covering 12 miles (19 kilometres) with an altitude of 7,870 feet (2,400 metres). We will ascend through the trails of the San Lorenzo ravine until reaching the Eastern Cordillera.
