Armadillo Ghost Town Hiking Tour
Pick-up will be at 8:30 am from your hotel in San Luis Potosí for the drive to Armadillo de los Infante, named after the family that introduced the first printing press to the town.
During the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, this municipality thrived. However, at the start of the 20th century, the Mexican Revolution led to its decline, and Armadillo became a ghost town. The hiking tour unveils its remains.
We'll embark on a 9.7-kilometre (6 miles) hiking route to explore abandoned buildings and monuments of Armadillo. This simple hike involves stretches between 134 and 148 metres (436 and 485 feet), allowing us to uncover the town's forgotten history.
After the hike, we will visit the 1600 Restaurante to enjoy Potosí gastronomy, a blend of pre-Columbian and colonial cuisine.
Following lunch, we will return to your hotel in San Luis Potosí, arriving at 5:30 pm.
