Join us on our Real de Catorce Day Trip and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of an abandoned town in the mountains of San Luis Potosí's semi-desert area. You'll also see one of Mexico's famous Magic Towns.

Real de Catorce Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Luis Potosí. From there, we'll set off to the Magic Town of Real de Catorce located in the mountains.

After crossing the high plateau of Potosí, characterized by cacti and palm trees, we'll head into the Sierra de Catorce and arrive at the Ogarrio Tunnel. Upon reaching our destination, we'll take a guided tour of the main attractions of this old mining town.

The miners once discovered an aquifer in the galleries where they extracted silver, which caused flooding and led to the closure of the silver mine. Consequently, the town was abandoned due to a lack of economic activity.

During the day trip, you'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch. We will continue by walking through the streets of Real de Catorce towards the Casa de la Moneda, the first mint established in Mexico.

Next, we'll walk through the Plaza de Armas and visit the Church of the Purísima Concepción, which houses the revered image of San Francisco.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in San Luis Potosí, dropping you off 12 hours later.
