Sendero del Capitán Hiking Tour
At 6:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in San Luis Potosí and travel to the starting point of the Sendero del Capitán. This tour combines hiking with the rich history of the city.
The hike begins at the Cerro de San Pedro, historically significant as a mining center prior to the city's establishment. The trail features various landscapes, including meadows, forests, and semi-desert terrain.
We will pass through Monte Caldera and reach Armadillo de los Infante, notable for its historical printing press and 17th-century cobblestone streets.
During the tour, we will discuss Captain Miguel Caldera, whose heritage and contributions were pivotal in the region's pacification and colonization. We will also explore a cave revealing an underground world.
After covering 19 kilometres (11 miles), we will arrive at a ranch for a barbecue-style meal. We will then return you to your hotel in San Luis Potosí, concluding the activity by 6:30 pm.
