Tamul Waterfall & Cueva del Agua Excursion

Visit the largest waterfall in the state of San Luis Potosí on this excursion to the Tamul waterfall. We'll take a boat ride on the Tampaón River and you'll be able to swim in the famous Cueva del Agua. The perfect way to connect with the nature of the Huasteca Potosina region!

Tamul Waterfall & Cueva del Agua Excursion

After picking you up at your hotel in San Luis Potosí at 6:45 am, we'll travel by minibus to Tanchachín, a small town about four hours away.

Once we arrive, we'll head to the Tampaón River. There we'll board a boat for a ride to the Tamul waterfall, admiring the surrounding vegetation and bird songs.

We'll view the waterfalls of Potosí from the base, a spot for photos of this cascade that exceeds 100 meters (328 feet) in height. We'll explain the formation of this site and discuss the legends associated with this natural monument.

The boat ride will take us to the entrance of Cueva del Agua, where you'll have an hour of free time to swim in this rocky cave with 45 meters (147 feet) of depth. Its sapphire blue waters will captivate you.

Afterwards, you'll have another hour for lunch at a restaurant in Tanchachín before returning to San Luis Potosí. The excursion will finish at 8 pm, dropping you back at your hotel.
