Day Trip to Yuco, Chachín Waterfall & Hua Hum

Pick-up will occur at your hotel in downtown San Martín de los Andes at 2 pm. We will head northwest towards the Neuquén province, passing through the Valdivian rainforest while learning about the local flora in the Lanín National Park.

Next, we will travel along Provincial Route 48 to reach Trompul, an area predominantly inhabited by the Curruhuinca Mapuche community. We will visit the notable Piedra de Trompul, a unique rock formation offering stunning views of Lake Lácar and nearby mountains.

We will then proceed to the beautiful Yuco peninsula, characterized by small bays with volcanic sand and surrounded by myrtle trees.

Our journey will take us to Hua Hum, on the Argentina-Chile border near Lake Lácar. Here, we will see the Christ of Peace statue and enjoy a brief hike to the stunning Chachin waterfall, which stands 30 meters (100 feet) tall in the Valdivian rainforest. This waterfall marks the end of our full day of exploration.

Return to the center of San Martín de los Andes is scheduled for around 7 pm, where we will drop you back off at your hotel.
