Day Trip to Yuco, Chachín Waterfall & Hua Hum

We'll collect you from your hotel in downtown San Martín de los Andes at 2 pm before heading northwest towards the Neuquén province. During our journey through the Valdivian rainforest, we will identify plant species in the Lanín National Park.

Continuing along Provincial Route 48, we will reach Trompul, primarily inhabited by the Curruhuinca Mapuche community. Here, we will visit the Piedra de Trompul, a notable rock formation with scenic views of Lake Lácar and the surrounding mountains.

Next is the Yuco peninsula, renowned for its beauty, featuring small bays with volcanic sand and surrounded by myrtle forests reflected in its emerald waters.

Our final destination is Hua Hum, on the border of Argentina and Chile by Lake Lácar. Here, we will view the Christ of Peace, a statue crafted from rauli wood. A short hike will lead us to the Chachín waterfall, a stunning 30-meter (100-foot) waterfall located in the Valdivian rainforest. We will conclude our day trip with this visit.

We will return to San Martín de los Andes around 7 pm to drop you back at your hotel.
