Rosales Lagoons Hiking Excursion

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in San Martín de los Andes to make our way towards the Rosales lagoon, located just 30 minutes away.

Once we've arrived at its banks, we'll begin a relaxing hike around the Rosales lagoons. This hike is of fairly low difficulty, covering around 3km (1.86 miles) through a lush Patagonian forest.

During the hike, we'll admire various species of birds, including chucaos, huet-huets, rayaditos, and red hawks, as well as other native Patagonian birds such as the southern lapwing, ashy-headed goose, royal ashy-headed goose, Patagonian finch, and the great gebe.

We'll also explore a mallín, a marshy grassland typical of Patagonia. Here, we will discover the plant species that inhabit this ecosystem.

Finally, we'll return along the trail to our vehicle, which will take us back to San Martín de los Andes. We expect to arrive back at the hotels after approximately 4 hours together.
