If you're looking to enjoy Andean nature, don't miss this hike around the Rosales lagoons, where we'll enjoy the captivating Patagonian landscape and discover its wide-ranging biodiversity of fauna and flora.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in San Martín de los Andes to make our way towards the Rosales lagoon, located just 30 minutes away.
Once we've arrived at its banks, we'll begin a relaxing hike around the Rosales lagoons. This walk, with a fairly low level of difficulty, will cover about 3km (1.86 miles) through a lush Patagonian forest.
During the hike along the banks of the lagoons, we'll observe various bird species such as chucaos, huet-huets, rayaditos, and red hawks. Other native Patagonian birds, including the southern lapwing, ashy-headed goose, royal ashy-headed goose, and Patagonian finch, may also be seen.
We'll continue hiking around a mallín, a marshy grassland typical of Patagonia, discovering the plant species that inhabit this ecosystem.
Finally, we'll return to the start of the trail and head back to our vehicle, which will take us back to San Martín de los Andes. The entire experience is expected to last around 4 hours.
