Cañada de la Virgen Archaeological Site Tour

Our adventure begins at Zacateros Street where we will gather at the specified time before embarking on our journey westward to the Cañada de la Virgen Archaeological Zone. Following a scenic 45-minute drive, we will reach this remarkable site, once a prominent fortress for the Toltec-Chichimec peoples many centuries ago.

Upon arrival, we will explore this archaeological wonder perched on a plateau surrounded by stunning canyons, a testament to its strategic significance in the past. The site comprises three notable complexes: the House of the Thirteen Heavens, the House of the Longest Night, and the House of the Wind.

With the guidance of a knowledgeable archaeology expert, we will discover the astronomical observatory, the ancient clock, the necropolis, and the ceremonial esplanades that served the Toltec people.
