Coyote Canyon Equestrian Experience

Half-Day Excursion

We will convene at a designated meeting point in the heart of San Miguel de Allende. Our adventure begins as we travel to a nearby cattle ranch, where a horseback ride awaits us. After a brief journey of roughly 45 minutes, we will arrive at our destination.

Upon reaching the ranch, a concise introduction to the fundamentals of horseback riding will be provided. This marks the commencement of the highlight of our journey. Mounted on our horses, we will embark on an exhilarating two-hour ride through the prominent Coyote Canyon.

The initial segment of our horsemanship journey will lead us down the canyon, guiding us to the river, where we will have the chance to gallop at certain points. A short rest will be taken before we ascend the canyon. As we navigate around the steep cliffs, we will be treated to stunning vistas of the gorge below.

Upon our return to the ranch, we will follow a route similar to our outbound journey. At the ranch, a hearty meal awaits, featuring traditional dishes such as quesadillas, nopales, rice, and guacamole, perfect for re-energizing after our adventurous ride.

We expect to return to San Miguel de Allende around 2 pm.

Full-Day Excursion

For those with additional time, consider participating in a full-day horseback riding adventure through the Cañada de la Virgen. This tour follows a similar path as the half-day option but includes a deeper dive into ranch life and its daily operations.

You will also have the chance to explore hidden trails and access locations unreachable on horseback, or perhaps take a refreshing dip in the river during your journey.
