Tour Overview
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in San Miguel de Tucumán, setting off on a day trip to the Aconquija National Park. During the journey, you'll pass by expansive fields of sugar cane, lemons, and blueberries, which are signature crops of the region.
As we traverse the Aconquija National Park, prepare to be enveloped by the vibrant flora of the Yungas Forest, the most impressive arboreal region in Argentina. Our first rest stop will be at the Samay Cochuna camping area. Next, we will visit the La Banderita viewpoint, where the sweeping vistas of the forest and the majestic Nevados del Aconquija await. Capture these stunning moments with your camera!
Approximately 3.5 hours after departing, we will arrive at the Valle de Las Estancias, an area boasting diverse mountain terrains and charming villages. After a brief pause to recharge, we will continue our expedition and initiate our hike along the Argentinian Inca Trail.
Following the first 40 minutes of our trek, we will reach the Inca site of Pucará del Aconquija. Here, we will investigate its kallankas, kolcas, walls, and defensive towers. A delightful outdoor lunch, comprising a sandwich and a piece of fruit, will be enjoyed amidst nature's beauty.
After concluding our 2-kilometer hike, which peaks at an impressive altitude of 7217 feet (2200 m), we will return to San Miguel de Tucumán. Expect to arrive back at your hotel around 12 hours after the initial pickup.
