Tafi del Valle, Cafayate and Quilmes Trip
Pickup will be at your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at 7:30 am, proceeding to the ruins of San José de Lules to explore the evangelization sites of the Lules Indians.
The journey continues to the Los Menhires archaeological reserve, home to over 50 megaliths, each telling a unique story. We will then arrive at Tafi del Valle, located between the Calchaqui valley and Chacopampa plain.
Free time will be provided for lunch or exploration of the 18th century Conjunto Jesuítico de La Banda. Afterward, we ascend the Cumbres Calchaquíes mountains, part of the Andes, to visit the ruins of Quilmes and learn about the Calchaqui's resistance against Spanish conquest.
Following this, we will drive for an hour to Cafayate, noted for its vineyards. Here, we will tour the historic center and visit a winery for a wine tasting, where the famous Torrontés grape is cultivated.
At 4 pm, we will depart Cafayate to return to San Miguel de Tucumán, concluding the experience.
