Tafi del Valle, Cafayate and Quilmes Trip
Pick up will occur at your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at 7:30 am, followed by a visit to the ruins of San José de Lules to explore the sites of Lules Indian evangelization.
The journey continues to the Los Menhires archaeological reserve, home to over 50 megaliths, each with a unique story. Next, we arrive at Tafi del Valle, a small village between the Calchaqui valley and Chacopampa plain.
You will have free time for lunch or to explore the streets and view the 18th century Conjunto Jesuítico de La Banda. Afterward, we will ascend the Cumbres Calchaquíes mountains, part of the Andes, to visit the ruins of Quilmes and learn about the Calchaqui Indians' resistance to Spanish conquerors.
An hour's drive will lead us to Cafayate, known for its vineyards. We will explore the historic center and visit a winery for a wine tasting, particularly of the Torrontés grape.
At 4 pm, we will depart Cafayate and return to San Miguel de Tucumán, concluding the experience.
