Tafi del Valle, Cafayate and Quilmes Trip
Pickup is at your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at 7:30 am, proceeding to the ruins of San José de Lules, where we will learn about the Lules Indians' evangelization.
Next, we visit the Los Menhires archaeological reserve, home to over 50 megaliths, each with unique history. Then, we arrive at Tafi del Valle, situated between the Calchaqui valley and Chacopampa plain.
You will have free time for lunch or to explore the 18th-century Conjunto Jesuítico de La Banda. Following that, we will ascend the Cumbres Calchaquíes mountains, part of the Andes, to visit the ruins of Quilmes and understand the Calchaqui Indians' resistance to Spanish conquest.
The tour continues with an hour's drive to Cafayate, known for its vineyards. Here, we will explore the historic center and visit a winery for a wine tasting, focusing on the renowned Torrontés grape.
At 4 pm, we depart Cafayate and return to San Miguel de Tucumán, concluding the experience.
