Tafi del Valle and Quilmes Ruins Tour
After hotel pickup, we will begin our tour to Tafí del Valle and the Quilmes Ruins. Additionally, we will visit a family winery to sample Argentinian wine.
The journey includes following the Quebrada de Los Sosa river to El Mollar, featuring more than 50 megalithic sculptures whose origins remain a mystery.
Next, we will travel to Tafí del Valle, a town where you will have free time to explore and appreciate the natural surroundings, characterized by large mountains ideal for photography.
Then, we proceed to El Infiernillo, the entry point to the Calchaquí Valley, known for its stunning natural scenery.
We will then visit the Sacred City of Quilmes to meet the Quilmes indigenous community and see one of Argentina's largest pre-Columbian settlements, the Quilmes Ruins. Here, you will learn about the Quilmes Indians, their customs, traditions, and their historical legacy.
After visiting the Quilmes ruins, we will head to Amaicha del Valle for a meal.
For those interested, we will visit an indigenous winery to learn about wine production from Veronica, a family member. You will also have the opportunity to taste a glass of wine.
After 11.5 hours of activities, we will return to your hotel.
