Tafí del Valle Trip
The tour departs from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at 8:30 am. Our first stop is the Jesuit ruins of San José de Lules, where you will learn about the Society of Jesus in Tucumán. Continuing along Route 307, we will pass through Los Sosa ravine to the Monument to the Indian, also known as El Chasqui. Here, we discuss local indigenous customs and traditions from pre-colonial times.
We will then follow the shore of La Angostura reservoir to El Mollar, visiting the Archaeological Reserve of the Menhirs, which features over 50 megalith stones from around 800 B.C., believed to symbolize fertility. Afterward, we travel to Tafí del Valle, where you will have free time for lunch and to explore attractions such as the La Banda Jesuit Complex. In the afternoon, we will meet to visit a viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Tafí Valley.
We will return to your accommodation in San Miguel de Tucumán by 4:30 pm.
