Tafí del Valle Trip

We will depart from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at 8:30 am, heading south. The first stop is at the Jesuit ruins of San José de Lules to learn about the Society of Jesus in Tucumán, before continuing on Route 307.

The journey features the Los Sosa ravine and the iconic sculpture El Chasqui, or Monument to the Indian. Here, you will hear about local indigenous customs and traditions from pre-colonial times.

Continuing to the Tafí Valley along La Angostura reservoir, we will stop at El Mollar to visit the Archaeological Reserve of the Menhirs, which consists of over 50 megalith stones dating back to around 800 B.C. believed to represent fertility.

From El Mollar, we will travel to Tafí del Valle, where you will have free time for lunch and to visit attractions such as the La Banda Jesuit Complex. In the afternoon, we will meet again to head to a viewpoint for a panorama of the Tafí Valley.

After enjoying the views, we will return you to your accommodation in San Miguel de Tucumán by 4:30 pm.
