Tafí del Valle Trip

Departure from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán is at 8:30 am, heading south from the city. The first stop is at the Jesuit ruins of San José de Lules, where you will learn about the Society of Jesus in Tucumán. The journey continues along Route 307, crossing the Los Sosa ravine to the sculpture of El Chasqui, also known as the Monument to the Indian, a 20-foot statue honoring the native people and their customs.

The tour proceeds through the Tafí Valley alongside La Angostura reservoir, stopping at El Mollar to visit the Archaeological Reserve of the Menhirs, home to over 50 megalith stones from around 800 B.C., believed to represent fertility.
