Experience one of the most magical landscapes of Chile on this excursion to the Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache, a natural wonder where you can swim without sinking - a phenomenon found in very few parts of the world!

Baltinache Lagoons Excursion

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama and head towards the Cordillera de la Sal, located a few kilometers south of San Pedro de Atacama.

At the foot of these mountains are the Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache, or 'Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache', a natural wonder composed of seven saltwater lagoons. The rugged silhouette of the Callo Salino creates a striking scene in this part of Chile.

Upon arrival, you'll have free time to admire the landscape. The high salinity of these pools prevents sinking, a phenomenon comparable to the Dead Sea.

Afterward, we'll take you to witness a romantic sunset from the Likan-Antay viewpoint. You'll be left speechless!

Finally, we'll return to the central square of San Pedro de Atacama, arriving around 6:30 pm.

Pickup Info

The tour includes pickup from hotels located within a radius of 10 kilometers from the center of San Pedro de Atacama. For hotels outside this area, pickup will be at unit 2, 429B Tocopilla Street.

Important Info

Due to contamination, it's prohibited to bathe in the Lagunas Escondidas in Baltinache until further notice.
