Cerro Toco Volcano Hike

Join us on this hiking tour of Cerro Toco, a dormant volcano. From its summit, at 5,100 m (16,732 ft), you'll enjoy views of the Licancabur Volcano and the Blanco and Verde Lagoons.

Activity Details

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to begin the adventure. The journey to Cerro Toco Volcano will take around one hour, with a stop at a shop for water and snacks.

Prior to the hike, we will acclimatize with a 1 km (0.6 mi) walk at an altitude of 3,100 m (10,170 ft). Following this, we will proceed to the base of the Cerro Toco Volcano, located at approximately 5,100 m (16,732 ft) above sea level.

During the 2-hour ascent to the summit, we will take breaks to catch our breath, hydrate, and enjoy panoramic views of the Andean landscape. Remember to bring your camera.

After returning to the base and resting for 45 minutes, we will begin the journey back to San Pedro de Atacama. The tour will conclude with goodbyes at your hotel after a total duration of 5 hours.
