Salt Mountains Day Trip

At the agreed time, we'll meet at unit 2, 429B Tocopilla Street in San Pedro de Atacama. From there, we'll travel to one of the most spectacular places in Moon Valley: The Salt Mountains (“Cordillera de la Sal” in Spanish).

Upon arrival, we'll admire the geological features of the Salt Mountains, formed by wind erosion, resulting in a unique landscape of sand dunes and ancient salt rivers.

During the exploration, we'll see remnants of an ancient mode of transport known as the Magic Bus and discuss its significance in this arid region.

We will conclude the experience by watching a sunset over the Salt Mountains, as the hues of the sunset illuminate the desert landscape. You will also enjoy a snack that includes dried fruits, biscuits, juices, a bag of crisps, and a drink of your choice between beer or pisco sour.

After enjoying the sunset, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama, arriving at the small square in the centre of town or another central location after approximately 4 hours of activity.
