Tatio Geysers & Machuca Lagoon Trip
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama and head to the most important site of geothermal activity in Chile. After approximately an hour and a half, we arrive at El Tatio geyser field, located over 4,000 meters (13,000 ft) above sea level. Here, you will observe the constant eruptions of steam from over 100 craters. This site is the third-largest geyser field in the world. We will visit thermal pools and enjoy breakfast while witnessing the geothermal activity at dawn.
After breakfast, we will proceed to the Machuca Lagoon, a wetland home to highland birds such as flamingos and ducks. Finally, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama, concluding this 7 to 7.5-hour excursion with a drop-off in the town center.
