Discover one of the largest geyser fields in the world at El Tatio on our trip from San Pedro de Atacama. You will also visit the Machuca Lagoon, known for its variety of birds.

Tatio Geysers & Machuca Lagoon Trip

At the indicated time, pickup will be from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. After approximately 1.5 hours of travel, we arrive at the El Tatio geyser field, located at more than 4,000 meters (13,000 ft) above sea level. El Tatio is one of the most visited sites in the Atacama desert, featuring constant steam eruptions from over 100 small craters. The site is the third-largest geyser field in the world. You will also visit thermal pools and enjoy breakfast while observing this geothermal activity at dawn.

After breakfast, we will proceed to the Machuca Lagoon, where you can see various highland birds such as flamingos and ducks. Finally, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama, concluding this 7 to 7.5-hour excursion with a drop-off in the town center.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels within a radius of up to 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) from the center of San Pedro de Atacama. Depending on availability, we may pickup from closer (maximum radius of 2 kilometers or 1.2 miles) or further away (maximum radius of 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles) hotels. Note that pickups in nearby towns such as Ayllus, Solor, Cucuter, and Toconao are not included. For remote accommodations, an alternative meeting point will be detailed on your booking voucher.
