Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and travel north to Chacahua Lagoon National Park. After a 1.5-hour drive, we will arrive at El Zapotalito, the dock where our aquatic journey begins.

We will board a speedboat with a roof and comfortable seating for a 1.5-hour exploration of the area's lagoons. During the ride, we will navigate through mangrove tunnels and venture among small islands, sharing information about the local fauna and flora. Expect to see migratory birds, river crocodiles, and various mangrove species.

Upon reaching Chacahua Bay, you will find a beach with crystal-clear waters and golden sand. You will have 3.5 hours of free time for swimming, sunbathing, or exploration. Optional local cuisine is available at seafront restaurants, with a recommendation to try the thinly sliced fish.

We will return by speedboat to El Zapotalito, enjoying the lagoon's scenery again before heading back to Puerto Escondido by land. The entire trip lasts a total of 9 hours, concluding with drop-off at your accommodation.
