Join us to discover the natural, cultural, and artistic wonders of Oaxaca and San Martín Tilcajete on this day trip starting from Puerto Escondido. Enjoy a mezcal tasting included in the experience!

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and begin our journey toward Oaxaca. After a 2.5-hour journey, we'll arrive at the central Benito Juárez Market for a traditional Oaxacan breakfast.

Next, we'll walk through the charming cobble-stoned streets of Oaxaca to the Tourist Walkway, where you’ll admire the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and explore the city's historical center filled with museums, galleries, and artisan shops.

You will have an hour to have lunch before we visit the famous Tree of Tule, a 2,000-year-old natural monument weighing 650 tons.

Our next stop will be at San Martín Tilcajete, known for artisan crafts carved from copal wood called alebrijes. You will have the chance to paint your own alebrije in a workshop.

Before returning to Puerto Escondido, we'll stop at a mezcal-producing town to learn about the mezcal production process and visit a distillery. The experience concludes with a mezcal tasting.

After a total of 15 hours, we’ll return to your hotel to conclude our day trip.
