Laguna de Manialtepec Kayak Tour

On this kayak tour through the Laguna de Manialtepec, we'll paddle along its canals and discover Oaxaca's flora and fauna.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Escondido and head for the village of Las Negras, located on the shores of the Laguna de Manialtepec. After a 20-minute drive, we'll reach the starting point of our route. An instructor will provide kayak tips before we begin.

We'll take a speedboat to the starting point of the kayak tour. From there, we will paddle through the Manialtepec River Sanctuary, guided through the canals amidst the area's vegetation.

The tour includes a visit to Carnero, known for its numerous migratory birds, such as American storks, roseate spoonbills, cormorants, ibis, caracaras, frigatebirds, and herons. Afterward, at Puerto Suelo beach, we will have some time to relax and enjoy the landscape.

We will then return to the starting point and head back to your hotel in Puerto Escondido, concluding the 6-hour activity.
