San José Manialtepec Horse Riding

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and set off for the community of San José Manialtepec by minibus. The journey should only take 30 minutes.

The saddled horses will be waiting for us when we arrive, after which we can start our adventure through extraordinary spots in San José Manialtepec.

On horseback, we'll head deep into the jungle and go through up to four different crossings along the Maíz River. This is an opportunity to explore rural landscapes and discover unique plants such as the ceiba, a sacred tree in various pre-Hispanic cultures.

After crossing the jungle, we'll arrive at one of the coastal Manialtepec lagoon's banks, where we'll get into canoes and paddle to the other side, observing the horses swimming behind us.

Once across the water, we'll reach Puerto Suelo Beach, where friendly locals will offer us a bonfire with delicious chocolates to recharge after our activities!

We'll then return on horseback to our starting point, from which we'll take you back to your hotel in Puerto Escondido, arriving around 7 hours after the initial pickup.
