San José Manialtepec Horse Riding

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and set off for the community of San José Manialtepec by minibus. The journey takes 30 minutes.

The saddled horses will be waiting for us upon arrival, allowing us to begin our adventure through various spots in San José Manialtepec.

While riding, we'll head deep into the jungle and cross up to four different points along the Maíz River. This route provides an opportunity to explore beautiful rural landscapes and discover unique plants like the ceiba, which is considered a sacred tree by pre-Hispanic cultures.

After crossing the jungle, we'll reach one of the coastal banks of the Manialtepec lagoon, where we will get into canoes and paddle to the other side, with the sight of the horses swimming behind us.

Upon reaching Puerto Suelo Beach, locals will welcome us with a bonfire and delicious chocolates to regain strength. Then, we'll mount the horses again to return to our starting point, from where we'll take you back to your hotel in Puerto Escondido, arriving approximately 7 hours after the initial pickup.
