San José Manialtepec Horse Riding

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and set off for the community of San José Manialtepec by minibus. The journey should only take 30 minutes.

The saddled horses will be waiting for us upon arrival, after which we can start our adventure through various spots in San José Manialtepec.

On the horses, we'll head deep into the jungle and cross up to four different points along the Maíz River. This is an opportunity to explore picturesque rural landscapes and discover unique plants such as the ceiba, a sacred tree in pre-Hispanic cultures.

After exploring the jungle, we'll arrive at one of the coastal Manialtepec lagoon's banks, where we'll board canoes and paddle across the lagoon. You will see the horses swimming alongside as we cross.

Upon crossing, we'll reach Puerto Suelo Beach, where locals will welcome us with a bonfire and delicious chocolates to recharge after our activities.

We will then remount our horses and return to the starting point, followed by a return transfer to your hotel in Puerto Escondido. The entire experience lasts approximately 7 hours from initial pickup.
