Explore Andean landscapes with this excursion to the Las Leñas Valley, home to one of the largest ski resorts in South America.
Description
Pickup will occur at your hotel in San Rafael at 8:15 am, followed by a drive through Mendoza. The first stops include Salinas del Diamante and Los Parlamentos plains. Next, we will visit the El Sosneado neighbourhood to discuss the FAU 571 plane crash, where 16 survivors resorted to cannibalism for 72 days.
The route continues along the Atuel River towards Las Leñas Valley, where we will view the landscape from the Infiernillo viewpoint and visit the Niña Encantada Lagoon, known for its turquoise waters. A stop at Las Ánimas well is also included.
The tour proceeds to the Las Leñas Ski Resort, situated at an altitude of 2,000 metres (6,561 feet), featuring 29 slopes over 65 kilometres (40 miles) of skiable runs, along with various hotels and restaurants.
You will return to your hotel in San Rafael, arriving around 7:30 pm.
