Day Trip Details
At the specified time, you will be picked up from your hotel in San Ramon and head towards Oxapampa, visiting two of its main towns.
On the way, a stop will be made at the Mezapata viewpoint to view the Paucartambo river bridge, which marks the natural border between the Junín and Pasco regions.
Upon arriving in Chontabamba, you will visit the main square and the wooden church, built in Austro-German style. The history of the European settlers in this province will be discussed.
Next, a visit to the Tunqui Cave will be made, where a landscape of stalactites and stalagmites awaits. Following this, you will tour the La Floralp dairy factory to observe the production of various dairy items, including cheese, butter, and yogurt.
Then, you will have free time in the town of Oxapampa for lunch and tasting local cuisine.
Afterwards, a guided tour of Oxapampa will cover iconic spots like the Plaza de Armas, Colonists' promenade, and the church of Santa Rosa, characterized by Austro-German architecture.
After exploring these cities, you will return to San Ramón and be dropped off at your hotel between 10 and 11 hours after pickup.
