Lively streets, vibrant colours and traditional Mexican cantinas await your exploration! Join this afternoon tour from San Diego to Tijuana, the largest city in Baja California.
Day Trip Details
We'll convene at East San Ysidro Boulevard at the arranged time, leaving San Diego behind as we head to Tijuana. The journey takes just 30 minutes as we cross the American border into Mexico.
Tijuana, recognized as the largest city in Baja California, will be our next destination. Upon arrival, we’ll stroll along the main thoroughfare, Avenida Revolución, the heart of local culture. Here, a mix of classic cantinas, dance clubs, restaurants, and art galleries showcase the blend of Mexican and Californian lifestyles. We’ll delve into the history of this vibrant street, affectionately known as "La Revu" by the locals.
This walking tour will include visits to several historical buildings and murals that narrate the city's history. We’ll pause at iconic landmarks such as the Torre de Agua Caliente and Arco Monumental for photo opportunities, so have your cameras ready!
As you work up an appetite, we'll take a break to savor a traditional lunch with Mexican tacos, complemented by spicy sauces and various toppings, along with a refreshing drink.
Following lunch, you’ll have some free time to relax and perhaps try a local Tijuanan artisanal beer.
Our return journey to the meeting point will commence after a total of 4.5 to 5 hours of exploration.
