Tour of Sant'Antioco & Calasetta

On this tour of Sant'Antioco and Calasetta, you'll discover two Sardinian towns, their main attractions, and their oldest monuments.

Tour Details

We'll meet at the parking lot of the "Ferruccio Barreca" Archeological Museum to start the tour at the designated time.

The tour begins with Sant'Antioco, where we will view the museum's archeological site from the outside, which includes the Roman Acropolis, an ancient temple, and a hypogeum with Punic tombs.

Then, we'll visit the city center to see the exterior of the Forte Sabaudo Su Pisu and the Church of Saint Antiochus Martyr, which features the only Christian catacombs in Sardinia.

Next, we'll stop at the promenade for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we'll travel to Calasetta.

Upon arrival, we will view the Torre Sabauda for a coastal view and visit the City Hall Square, where you can see the Church of Saint Maurice Martyr and other Genovese-style buildings.

Before concluding the tour, we'll drive to the ancient Tonnara di Sant'Antioco to admire the Mangiabarche Lighthouse. The tour will conclude 7 hours later back in Sant'Antioco.
