The BIBO PARK Ibiza Biotechnological Botanical is one of the most significant conservation parks in the Balearic Islands. This guided tour explores unique plant species and advances in environmental biotechnology.

Tour Details

BIBO PARK focuses on vegetation conservation and biotechnological research, housing over 25,000 plants of 160 different species. The guided tour begins at the photobioreactor, featuring 200 meters of transparent tubes with 1200 liters of water, which facilitates microalgae growth used as fertilizer, aiding in atmospheric cleanup.

Visitors will observe endemic and extinct species, including unique specimens not found elsewhere, and a replica of a typical Mediterranean salt cellar made with 100-year-old stakes. The tour includes the park's atmospheric water generators, where guests can sample pure, untreated water free from chemicals.

The journey continues next to the bee hives and the BIBO PARK lake, representing salt pan habitats, progressing through the Plato's Corner area. The tour concludes with the plant piano, the world’s first to generate light and sound, after an hour of exploration. Visitors may additionally explore the impressive bonsai collection at the Pitiusas and a variety of aromatic and medicinal plants.
