Ibiza Biotechnological Botanical Garden Tour
- 1 Stunde - 45 Minuten
The BIBO PARK Ibiza Biotechnological Botanical is focused on the conservation of vegetation and biotechnological research. It houses over 25,000 plants from 160 species and features the world's first plant piano.
Tour Details
The guided tour begins at the photobioreactor designed for microalgae growth, utilizing 200 meters of transparent tubes and 1200 liters of water. The microalgae help reduce carbon dioxide, contributing to atmospheric cleaning.
Visitors will observe endemic and extinct species, including specimens that don’t grow elsewhere. A replica of a Mediterranean salt cellar made from over 100-year-old stakes will also be seen.
The tour includes a visit to atmospheric water generators, allowing samples of untreated, pure water. Following this, guests will view bee hives and the BIBO PARK lake, along with a walk through Plato's Corner. The experience concludes with an interaction with the plant piano. The entire guided tour lasts approximately one hour.
After the tour, visitors can explore the bonsai collection at Pitiusas and a variety of aromatic and medicinal plants.
