Codorníu Winery Guided Tour
Meet at the entrance of the Codorníu winery, located on the outskirts of San Sadurní de Noya, approximately 47 km (29 miles) from Barcelona. This guided tour lasts 90 minutes and covers the history of a family of winegrowers producing cava in the Alto Penedés region since the 16th century. You will notice the winery's architecture designed by modernist Josep Puig i Cadafalch, resembling the works of Gaudí.
Recognized as a Historic-Artistic Monument, the winery is an important site for cava. The tour will include a visit to the Celler Gran museum and cellar, showcasing traditional machinery used for grape pressing and fermentation, well-preserved and intriguing.
Additionally, you will explore the underground cellars and take a train tour of the different rooms. The experience culminates with a tasting of two top-of-the-range Codorniu cavas.
