The guided tour begins at the entrance of the Codorníu winery, situated approximately 47 km (29 miles) from Barcelona in San Sadurní de Noya. This tour will unveil one of the most renowned cava brands in Spain.
Over the course of 90 minutes, the tour will cover the history of the winegrower family that started producing cava in the Alto Penedés region during the 16th century. Visitors will admire the winery's architecture created by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, reminiscent of Gaudí's works.
Recognized as a Historic-Artistic Monument, the Codorníu winery is a cornerstone of cava production. Attendees will explore the Celler Gran museum and cellar, viewing traditional machinery for grape pressing and fermenting, well-preserved for appreciation.
The tour includes a visit to the underground cellars, featuring a train tour of various rooms. The experience concludes with a tasting of two premium Codorniu cavas.
