Interested in exploring the iconic Monterrey from a unique perspective? On this hiking route, you'll climb up to the cablecar platform of Cerro de la Silla and enjoy spectacular views.

Hike Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Monterrey at the designated time to set off to the slopes of Cerro de la Silla, a mountain in Guadalupe, where we'll begin this hiking route. From the lookout, you'll enjoy views of the city. The journey is approximately 1.55 miles (2.5 kilometers) and will pass by sites like La Virgen, a 39.3 feet (12 meters) high sculpture, and the Table of the 10 Commandments, stone tablets inscribed with Catholic commandments. We'll also explore the ruins of the ancient cablecar, which launched in 1961 and quickly closed.

We'll reach the cablecar's lookout, a platform offering scenic views of Monterrey and its surroundings. Here, we will stop for approximately one hour for photos and tips on capturing memories. Bring your camera!

Afterward, we will return to the hike’s starting point or can drop you off at a nearby restaurant for local cuisine. We'll conclude the activity about 4 hours after it begins.
