Get to know the great tourist attractions of Santa Clara, such as the memorial to the legendary Che Guevara, on this free walking tour. You'll learn all about the role it played in the struggle for independence.

Santa Clara Free Walking Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Vidal Park to begin this free tour of Santa Clara, the perfect way to get to know the most important parts of Santa Clara.

During our tour, we'll walk around Santa Clara to discover the most fascinating stories from this landlocked Cuban city. Santa Clara played a fundamental role in the Ten Years' War and in the Cuban Revolution. We'll gain insight into some of the fundamental figures in these events, such as Marta Abreu.

The tour will also take us past the La Caridad Theatre, statues of Cuban independence leaders, the Cathedral of Santa Clara de Asis, and the park which houses the Monument to the Seizure of the Armored Train. This event, driven by Ernesto Ché Guevara, would end the Fulgencio Batista Regime. We'll dive into the details as we make our way toward the Che Guevara Mausoleum in Plaza Che Guevara.

On the final stretch of this free tour, we'll head into the Café Museo Revolución, a unique exhibition in a traditional tavern, before learning about creative expression in the El Mejunje cultural centre. We'll end our free tour of Santa Clara near the starting point after about 3 hours of activity.
