On this tour through the viewpoints of Flores Island, you'll experience the rugged landscapes of the north of this island of the Azores, including waterfalls and cliffs full of native vegetation.
Flores Island Viewpoints Tour
This tour offers a route filled with notable places. At the designated time, hotel pickup will be provided. The adventure will start with a visit to the best viewpoints of Flores Island.
The first stop is a natural balcony with views of the villages of Alagoa and Cedros. The tour then proceeds to the town of Ponta Ruiva, where participants will ascend to another viewpoint to observe Ilhéu Furado, a volcanic rock in the Atlantic.
Afterward, the guide will lead a visit to the Carlos Machado Museum, which exhibits agricultural artifacts reflecting the traditions of the Azores. The journey continues by road to another viewpoint for views of Ponta Delgada and the island of Corvo.
The next destination is Fajã Grande to witness the Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro, reachable via a 1.5 km trail. After this brief hike, a large cliff with waterfalls of up to 90 meters will be seen.
There will also be time to visit the spring of Poço do Bacalhau and enjoy the views from the Ponta da Fajã viewpoint, with a chance to spot the islet of Monchique, the westernmost point of Portugal.
The tour concludes with a return to the hotel, taking a total of 4 hours.
