Flores Island Viewpoints Tour
This tour explores the viewpoints of Flores Island in the Azores, showcasing its rugged landscapes, waterfalls, and cliffs. At 9 am, pickup will be from your hotel, followed by a visit to the island's best viewpoints.
The first stop is a natural balcony with views of Alagoa and Cedros villages, followed by a visit to Ponta Ruiva, where participants will ascend to a viewpoint to observe Ilhéu Furado, a volcanic rock in the Atlantic. Next is the Carlos Machado Museum, which displays agricultural artifacts that represent Azorean tradition. The tour proceeds by road to another viewpoint for views of Ponta Delgada and the island of Corvo.
Participants will then head to Fajã Grande to see Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro, accessible via a 2 km trail. This area features a large cliff with waterfalls reaching up to 90 meters. Additional visits include the spring of Poço do Bacalhau and the Ponta da Fajã viewpoint, where the islet of Monchique may be visible, marking Portugal's westernmost point.
The tour concludes with a return to the hotel by 1 pm.
