Day Trip to Roque de los Muchachos

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from your selected meeting point in La Palma and proceed by bus to Tajuya Square, a viewpoint established during the Tajogaite volcanic eruption. You will observe the new landscape that this event created. Next, we will visit El Time, located 594 meters (1950 feet) above sea level, for views of the Aridane Valley and La Caldera de Taburiente National Park. Depending on the day, we will either continue to Puntagorda to visit the Farmer's Market or go to Los Llanos de Aridane. You'll have free time for lunch, so bring a packed meal.

Afterwards, we'll drive up to Roque de Los Muchachos, the highest point at 2426 meters (7960 feet) above sea level. This location is known for its excellent stargazing conditions. Here, you will see the Taburiente Caldera and possibly El Hierro, La Gomera, and Tenerife Islands. The tour will conclude with a descent along the eastern side of the island, stopping at Los Andenes Viewpoint and visiting the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows and La Concepción Viewpoint for views of Santa Cruz de La Palma and the eastern coast. We'll return to the meeting point after a total of 8 hours.
