Explore the landscape of Fuencaliente on a full-day trip to the south of La Palma and discover Tajogaite, the youngest volcano of the Canary Islands.
Description
At the scheduled time, pick up will be from your chosen meeting point, proceeding towards the southern area of La Palma.
First, the tour will head to the municipality of Fuencaliente to see the landscapes of San Antonio and Teneguía Volcanoes, which last erupted in 1677 and 1971, respectively.
Next, the group will visit the lighthouse and salt flats before stopping at Las Manchas, where the eruption of Tajogaite Volcano occurred in September 2021. A stop will be made at the Plaza de La Glorieta, featuring mosaics inspired by Gaudí's works.
Then, the tour will proceed to Plaza de Tajuya, a viewpoint from which the 2021 eruptions were visible. An hour-long break will be taken in the municipality of El Paso for lunch.
Following the break, participants will visit the La Cumbrecita viewpoint for views of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, then proceed to the Mirador del Llano del Jable.
The final stop will be at the Llano de Las Ventas viewpoint, after which the tour will return to the various meeting points, concluding after 8 hours.
