Day Trip to the São Francisco River Mouth

If you're in Maceió, you can't miss the chance to see a unique riverbed on this day trip to the São Francisco River. We'll also visit Piaçabuçu and its dunes.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Maceió to begin our 2-hour journey to the mouth of the São Francisco River. We'll travel 110 kilometres (68 miles) to our first stop, the municipality of Piaçabuçu, where you'll immerse yourself in the city's culture linked to the riverbed.

We'll have the opportunity to visit the Maraná restaurant to sample local delicacies before embarking on the main activity of the day.

After re-energizing in Piaçabuçu, we'll explore the mouth of the São Francisco River by boarding a boat for a 3-hour voyage. We'll navigate between Alagoas and Sergipe on the river's border, enjoying the views of the jungle and local life while watching the river and ocean merge. Look out for the abandoned lighthouse on an old island.

After the boat trip, we'll return to Piaçabuçu, then take transport back to Maceió. The activity will conclude 10 hours after pickup.
