If there is one thing we love about Portugal it's its typical multicoloured tiles. With this workshop you'll have the opportunity to decorate one yourself - you'll become a real artist!
Tile Decorating Workshop
At the scheduled time, we'll welcome you to the tile workshop located in Paços de Brandão, less than 15 minutes drive from Santa Maria da Feira.
We'll begin with a brief introduction to the technique used by the craftsmen themselves, which has over five centuries of history. The Arabs made this type of decoration fashionable. Before starting, we'll see some pieces made by the masters for inspiration.
Ready to become a tile artist? You can decorate your own tile using one or several colours, with choices between abstract or figurative designs. Test your imagination while painting.
After finishing your art, we'll place the tiles in the kiln to fire while you enjoy a delicious snack.
If you wish, we can send the tiles to your home as a souvenir of the experience. After an hour and a half, we'll conclude the workshop and say goodbye.
