Celebrating the Day of the Dead in Mexico is an unforgettable experience. Enjoy this famous festival for yourself when you take our fantastic tour of Huatulco on the country's favorite night of the year.

Day of the Dead Evening Tour

In Mexico, the "final journey" is celebrated in a special way. You will discover this when we pick you up at 7 pm from your hotel in Bahías de Huatulco. After a 40-minute bus ride, we will reach Santa María Huatulco, where we will take a walking tour to uncover the secrets and legends of the Day of the Dead celebration.

From late October to early November, the streets of Santa María Huatulco are adorned with typical Day of the Dead decorations. We will see altars with skulls, skeletons, and portraits of deceased loved ones. This is a joyful celebration in memory of our lost relatives.

During the walk, we will observe how the town is illuminated with lights for the dead. We will visit a local house to taste chocolate and bread typical for this celebration, and have a drink of mezcal, a popular liqueur in Mexico.

Our tour continues with a visit to the Municipal Pantheon. Here, we will see how locals honor their deceased while hearing stories that illustrate the connection between the living and the dead. Souls of those who have departed traditionally return to remind us of the temporary nature of life.

At the end of the tour, we will return to Bahías de Huatulco, arriving at your hotel around midnight.
