Oaxaca 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Huatulco - Oaxaca

Pickup is at 6 am from your hotel in Huatulco. We will stop for breakfast at Jalapa del Marqués before proceeding on the Mezcal Route, visiting Santiago Matatlán and San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya, where you will learn about mezcal production during a 2 hour tour. Next, we will visit the archaeological site of Mitla, known for its old houses and Mixtec rituals. You will also see traditional rugs from Teotitlán del Valle and the Santa María del Tule millenary tree. By 3:30 pm, we will arrive in Oaxaca City to visit the Santo Domingo de Guzmán building and its museum, after which you will have the rest of the day free.

Day 2: Oaxaca - Huatulco

At 8 am, we will leave the hotel for the Monte Albán archaeological zone to explore the ancient capital of the Zapotec people. Afterward, we will return to Oaxaca to visit the Benito Juárez handicraft market. We will then go to San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its black clay figures, and visit either San Antonio Arrazola or San Martin Tilcajete to learn about the creation of alebrijes. At 4 pm, we will take a break for lunch in San José del Pacífico before continuing to Huatulco, where we expect to arrive by 8 pm.
