Oaxaca 2 Day Tour
Day 1: Huatulco - Oaxaca
Pickup is at 6 am from your hotel in Huatulco. The first stop is Jalapa del Marqués for breakfast. After breakfast, the tour continues along the Mezcal Route, visiting Santiago Matatlán and San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya, with a 2-hour tour focused on mezcal production.
The next stop is the archaeological site of Mitla to explore ancient houses and ritual spaces. Following this, a visit to Teotitlán del Valle to view traditional rugs and the Santa María del Tule millenary tree, over 2000 years old, is planned.
Arriving in Oaxaca City at 3:30 pm, the tour includes a visit to the baroque building of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and its annexed museum before dropping you off at the hotel for the remainder of the day.
Day 2: Oaxaca - Huatulco
At 8 am, departure from the hotel is set for the Monte Albán archaeological zone, exploring the former capital of the Zapotec people. The next visit is to the Benito Juárez handicraft market in Oaxaca.
The tour continues to San Bartolo Coyotepec for black clay figures, followed by a visit to San Antonio Arrazola or San Martín Tilcajete, focused on the creation of vibrant alebrijes.
A lunch break is scheduled in San José del Pacífico at 4 pm. Afterward, the tour proceeds back to Huatulco with an expected arrival time of 8 pm.
